The MyKad-based Registration System is a reliable and efficient system that can read data from MyKad (also known as Government Multi-Purpose Card) for registration purposes.  By inserting the MyKad into a special reader, the user's card details are retrieved and displayed on the screen.

MyKadCapture System, consists of the mykad reader and software, will
be able to access, retrieve, print and use the information stored in
the chip that is embedded in their MyKad. With this technology,
receptionist is able to process visitor's information faster while
data stored into the system is accurate and fast. The common
information of MyKad such as Name, Identity Card Number, Photo,
Address, Race, Religion, Fingerprint and Driving License can be
extracted using an MyKad Reader. This information can be used for
automated registration process, at the same time for fingerprint
authentication.
